Question: Where can I purchase moisture resistant staples?

Jack writes from Dayton, Ohio: "Where would I purchase "moisture resistant staples" for a T50PBN Arrow staple gun? I tried ACE "is the place," Lowe's and The Home Depot in my area. They all sell only regular staples. Not galvanized or other coated staples. I was about to install the attic rafter vents per your March 18th answer to Dave from Utica, NY, but can't locate these staples."

Answer: I apologize for the wild goose chase. I checked quickly online and didn't have much better luck than you did. It turns out I picked up some old information. I checked with the technical team at Owens Corning and learned that the recommendation for using moisture-resistant staples has been removed from the newer instructions. I will remove the reference from the post you read. There doesn't seem to be a need for such staples in a dry and well-ventilated attic, even if they do exist.
