My question is, How should I add the R-19?
a. Should I use faced or not faced?
b. Do I install under or above existing.
c. Should I turn the existing over?”

Answer: Turn over the existing insulation so the vapor retarder will face down toward the warm-in-winter side of the insulation. Place unfaced R-19 insulation on top.
